    Getting Started with Y.O.D.O.

Starting with Y.O.D.O. is simple. It does not take long, and once set up, it quietly works in the background to bring peace of mind to you and your circle.

This guide will take you through those first steps, and show how to make them your own.

    Step 1: Create your account

Begin by creating an account with your email and choosing a secure password. We also recommend enabling two-factor authentication. It is an extra layer of security that keeps your words safe and helps protect your account from unauthorised access.

Step 2: Set your rhythm for check-ins

Check-ins are at the heart of Y.O.D.O. They are gentle nudges, not alarms. You decide how often they happen. Daily, weekly, or at a rhythm that feels right for you.

Every time you respond, your circle is quietly reassured. And if you ever miss one, Y.O.D.O. notices and makes sure your Delegates may be contacted.

    Step 3: Invite your Delegates

Delegates are the trusted people you choose to stand in your circle. They do not see your private words. Their role is to notice silence and confirm when something has happened.

Think about who you trust to carry this responsibility. It could be family, friends, or even professionals.

You can also decide whether they see who else is part of your circle. By default, the list is private, but you can make it visible if you prefer openness.

Step 4: Write or record your first message

This is often the most meaningful step. Your message might be just a few words: "I love you," or "Thank you." Or it could be a longer letter, a video, or even a note saying where to find a handwritten letter you have already hidden.

What matters is not length, but sincerity. Y.O.D.O. encrypts and seals your message the moment you save it. No one can see it until the right time.

Step 5: Let Y.O.D.O. do the rest

Once you have taken these steps, Y.O.D.O. stands with you quietly in the background. It does not interrupt your life. It simply ensures that if silence lingers, your circle is there, and that when the time comes, your words will be delivered with dignity.

    Why getting started matters

It can be tempting to put this off. To say "I'll do it later." But the truth is, getting started is not about planning for death. It is about creating reassurance in life. It is about knowing your presence will always be noticed, and that nothing important will be left unsaid.

Starting Y.O.D.O. is not just about preparing for one day. It is about caring for today.

    Check in. Live on.
