Looking for a Final Roadmap alternative?

Final Roadmap is a US digital estate planning platform for recording accounts, assets and instructions your executor will need. Y.O.D.O. is a UK private communication support service: it checks in on you while you are alive and releases sealed messages to named Recipients only after a passing has been verified.

    The short answer

Y.O.D.O. is not a digital estate planner and does not try to be. Final Roadmap organises what your executor will need afterwards. Y.O.D.O. notices whether you are all right now, and delivers your own words later. If you want an account inventory, Y.O.D.O. is the wrong tool; if you want someone to notice, it is the right one.

    Presence, not access

A digital estate planner works by holding your credentials, because that is what an executor needs. Y.O.D.O. works the opposite way: Delegates never receive your accounts or passwords. Their role is to notice if you go quiet and to be contacted if you do. Nothing they hold would be useful to a thief.

    Before, not only after

Scheduled Check-ins run while you are alive, with a Care Pause for travel or a hospital stay. That is the half of the problem an estate planner does not address: it is patient and complete, and it waits until you are gone to be useful.

    UK and EEA, not US

Y.O.D.O. Ltd is registered in England and Wales (15736034), ICO registered (ZC015883), with data hosted in the EEA. Final Roadmap is a US platform. Whether that difference matters depends on your circumstances and is worth checking against them rather than against a comparison table.
